VIN-Level Transaction Control: the AutoLinkerPro Method, Document by Document

Also available in: Deutsch Español Français

In cross-border vehicle trading, value is not only in the metal — it is in the paper trail. A well-priced vehicle with a broken documentary chain is a liability; a correctly priced vehicle with a complete per-VIN file is a bankable asset. VIN-Level Transaction Control is the method AutoLinkerPro applies to every mandate: each of the eight records that define a transaction is attached to one identifier — the VIN.

The AutoLinkerPro documentary chain: eight records attached to a single VIN.

Why the VIN is the pivot

The VIN is the only identifier that follows the vehicle unchanged across borders, owners and administrations. By anchoring every document to it — rather than to a deal reference or a file number — the chain survives language changes, entity changes and time. Any auditor, buyer or authority can reconstitute the transaction from the VIN alone.

The eight records of the chain

  • Vehicle identity — factory data, specification and condition, verified against the VIN before any offer.
  • Purchase invoice — the acquisition document, consistent with the declared tax treatment.
  • VAT qualification — margin scheme, intra-EU acquisition or export: decided before purchase, evidenced per VIN.
  • Resale invoice — the outgoing document, mirroring the qualification applied upstream.
  • Transport — the coordinated corridor leg, carrier and schedule attached to the unit.
  • CMR / proof — the consignment note and delivery evidence that close the loop physically.
  • Delivery — tracked handover at destination, timestamped.
  • Final transaction file — the complete per-VIN dossier, reconstitutable end to end.

What it changes for you

For a seller, it protects residual value: a vehicle sold with its complete file moves faster and at a better price. For a buyer, it removes diligence risk: every claim about the vehicle is backed by a record you can check. This is why VIN-Level Transaction Control is not a feature of our service — it is the service.
